Majutsugo: Targeting Methods
The targeting method, or Target Phrase, specifies the manner in which the target (or targets) of the spell effects are determined. In the absence of a target phrase, the targeting method assumed by ellipsis will depend on the effect and manifestation, but will typically either be the caster themself (Benign, Recovery and some Utility effects) or an unguided projectile (Malign effects).
