Delores SidheEDC Symbol

  MUSH:   Transformers 2005 (telnet://joshua.dnaco.net:5555)
  Species:   Human
  Faction:   Terran (EDC)
  Function:   Aerial Reconnaissance
  Rank:   Government Employee/2
Quote:   "I fight for the green, for the earth, and for me heart."

Delores hails from the small green island of Eiru, a fiercely independent territory once known for its savage woad-painted warriors. Delores carries on the tradition, with her red hair reflecting her fiery disposition and the blue tattoos on her cheeks proclaiming her ties to ancestral beliefs. Once famous for her almost hypnotic singing voice, she joined the Benefactors when it became clear that her land and her world needed protection. Her
Delores Sidheaerial armor-suit is light, responsive, and maneuverable: characteristics that she knows how to exploit to their fullest advantages. Feisty and hot-tempered, she has never run from a fight. Her armor is emerald green on the back and grey on the front to provide camouflage while in the air. She favors a sonic stun blaster in combat.

Delores has changed drastically over the time I've been playing her. Originally very two-dimensional, like most of the Alt-U characters, she has grown and blossomed, especially since being thrust into 2k5's world in the year 2006.

A child of nature, Delores understands only as much about modern technology as has been required to let her fly her combat suit. Although she does this with great skill, it's a level of skill arrived at only after years of practice--she does not naturally take well to most hi-tech devices. At one point, this combined with culture clash from being displaced into another universe made it so that she literally could not figure out how to operate a CD player.

Despite this, Delores is not stupid. She is a skilled herbalist, a devout Wiccan, and top-notch in flight, and has managed to turn adversity into advantage. In the years since crossing over from her home universe, the stipend paid to her by the Earth Defense Corporation (by which she is still employed, albeit loosely so) has permitted her to start her own business. She owns a store in downtown San Francisco called The Awakening, a kind of multipurpose occult bookstore. In addi tion to a wide variety of books on Celtic culture and Wicca, she also sells teas and herbs, and performs tattoos for the odd paying customer. Although the store operates at a marginal loss, her EDC stipend makes up the difference and lets her continue to operate--something which, whether she knows it or not, she needs to do, if for no other reason than to fill the gap left by her erstwhile military career.

Although she tends to keep to herself much of the time, Delores has one love interest--that of Matthew Sharp. A logistics officer in the EDC, Matt's shy and naive mannerisms attracted
her at first, and his rare ability to both cook and hold an intelligent conversation has kept her interested. Unfortunately for Delores, Matt is being pursued by another--the sister of Bryant Enterprise's CEO, Samantha Flagston. Aside from their hair color, the two are as different as night and day.Matthew Sharp
