Bush: War not inciting terrorists In an interview with Irish television ahead of a U.S.-EU summit, U.S. President George W. Bush defended his stance on Iraq and said the war has not incited terrorists. I'll let that one sink in for a moment.
Reasonable people can disagree about the extent to which the Iraq War has affected terrorism recruitment and incited the Arab and Muslim world. Reasonable people can disagree about whether or not the benefits of the Iraq War justify the propaganda tool and rallying point that is the American occupation there. But claiming that the war has not incited terrorists suggests a state of denial that defies credibility. Does anyone have a transcript of the Bush's exact words that led to this headline? Comments:
Did the Google thing. Got no love the day I posted this. Thanks for the link, though. As for the WH web site, they're generally at /least/ two days behind the curve in posting anything that isn't specifically written as a press release, particularly speeches and the daily gaggles. You can always find a transcript of every White House event, no matter how minor, at the WH website.
But here is a handy version.
I suggest trying Google in future in more general cases.
